Full-time IT guy, part time shade tree mechanic/repair guy/tinkerer. Signed up hoping to get some assistance with a hand-me-down samsung refrigerator. No hate please lol - I took this fridge on knowing how bad Samsung's reputation is. Oh well.

Sounds like you went in with your eyes open on that fridge, which honestly puts you ahead of most people who get one. Tinkering across all kinds of stuff instead of just one specialty tends to make troubleshooting easier anyway. What's it doing that's got you stumped?
 
I can get the ice maker to drop ice by resetting it but otherwise it won't drop ice. The ice level arm is in the up position. So that kinda makes sense. But I can not pull the arm down without what I feel like is excessive force. The ice maker isn't frozen up. Water is flowing (it will make ice). It just won't dump it in the tray without using the reset button. Ideas?
