The control panel just shows "GAS," and no other errors. The igniter glows fine, but we never get any gas, no click from the valves, nothing.
We've checked the gas supply, all the thermostats, and even the igniter itself, all good. The gas valves also show correct resistance. But when we test the voltage at the gas valve connectors during a cycle, there's nothing there.
We found the service manual, and it looks like the motor controls the gas valves.
My mom thinks she might've put a super wet load in before this happened, and we did see some corrosion inside.
Now, checking the motor, its resistance is off, and the gas valve terminals on the motor show an open loop.
Could this really be a bad motor? Or are we missing something here before replacing it?
