Replacing Bosch dryer door latch

I'm having a hard time to shut the door close of my Bosch compact dryer. It's really been annoying so I think it's time to have it replaced. Does anyone tried doing this on your own before? I can't seem to locate where I should attach the latch. I'd appreciate getting step-by-step guidance!

Okay, before you start, make sure you unplug the dryer first!
Apologies if that wasn't necessary but safety is always key especially with DIY fixes.
On most Bosch compact dryers, the latch mechanism is integrated into the door frame itself.
You'll usually need to remove the inner panel of the dryer door.
Look for small screws around its perimeter.
Alternatively, if the latch is on the main unit, you might need to remove the entire front of the dryer to reach the receiving mechanism.
Once those screws are out, you should be able to see the latch assembly clearly.

The latch is usually just a simple plastic strike on the door and a catch on the front panel. What you can do is to try unplug the dryer, pop the old strike out of the door and push a new one in, then make sure the catch on the frame lines up

Check inside the door frame, the latches usually snap in from the front once you remove the screws on the panel. If the old latch is broken, swapping it is better

Thanks for the heads-up! Just checking though, when you say "inner panel," do you mean the plastic part inside the door or the metal frame? And if the latch is on the main unit, is there a trick to popping off the front without damaging anything?
