Samsung Family Hub screen is dead

Hey everyone, joined the forum looking for advice..

We've got our Samsung Family Hub for at least 3 years now. It's cooling is fine, but the large door screen is dead. It froze on a calendar screen a few days ago, and now it's completely blank. Soft reset does nothing, and even a full breaker power cycle didn't help.. the screen stays dark.

Is this a known Main PCB failure or a possible display ribbon cable issue? I can check connections under the top hinge cover. Any common failure points I should check first and maybe fix before I call a technician? Thanks!

I’d pop that hinge cover, inspect the wiring / ribbon cables, tug nothing hard, then see whether the display cable is damaged. If that’s fine, odds are a failing PCB or driver board.

try a hard reset, and if it doesn't work, the issue is likely with the Main PCB or the display panel itself. also, it's not wrong to try updating the firmware. try to do it via the SmartThings app if you can access it on another device
