A hand-me-down Samsung RF260BEAESR/AA is taking up a massive amount of space in my kitchen now. Mostly ok with it save for 1 annoyance that I haven't had any luck figuring out yet: the ice maker. The termp in the freezer is 0F, it has water plumbed to it. And, funnily enough, it Will make ice. But it will not kick it out into the ice bucket. I can force the ice to be dumped into the bucket by resetting it with the button on the ice maker. But that's really not all that helpful.
While it was out for inspection, I saw an arm on the side of the ice maker. I can't get it to go into any position other than what might be called the "up" position (flush with the bottom of the ice maker). I see it's keyed, so it's in the correct orientation for some aspect of operation. But... looking at it it could be that it should be in the "down" position? It won't move by hand without more force than should be applied to all those plastic gears.
What am I missing here?
