Water under machine but only when not in use

Afternoon folks, I’ve got an LG WM3470HWA, probably around 7 years old, and it’s been dripping water when the machine isn’t even running. The puddle shows up toward the front, though I can’t tell if that’s just where it flows to on the floor. Seems odd because if it was the door boot, I’d expect to see water during a wash. This happens hours after it’s done. Could it be that the inlet valve isn’t shutting off fully and letting water sneak in? Or maybe something in the dispenser tray? Not sure if I should start by pulling the top off and checking hoses or just go straight for a new inlet valve. Anyone dealt with this exact issue?

On the WM3470HWA, a slow drip when the machine is off is most often traced back to the water inlet valve not sealing completely, which lets a small amount of water sneak into the dispenser and then down into the tub before pooling at the front. Less commonly, a cracked dispenser hose can do the same thing but that usually shows during a cycle, too. When you shut off the supply valves overnight, does the puddle still appear, or does it stay dry?

I second @_teliaz about a faulty water inlet valve.
Try to confirm by simply turning off the water supply taps behind the washer for a day or two.
If the puddle stops forming, the inlet valve is definitely the issue.
If that's it, skip pulling hoses and go straight for replacing the inlet valve assembly.
It's the standard fix for this specific symptom on your model.

Yh, I totally agree with all these, dispenser leaks are less common but worth a quick check once you pull the top

yep, the absolute fastest way to confirm the inlet valve is bad is to turn off both water supply valves (hot and cold) overnight. If the puddle doesn't appear the next day, it's the inlet valve
