Womething's wrong with my stove

I have a dual fuel Whirlpool stove which did something weird and now has a problem. A few days ago my wife was making dinner and she said that there was a weird smell, but didn't think too much of it because the kitchen window was open. Things were working normal and once she turned off the stove, she couldn't turn it on. Basically, the electric part of it doesn't work, but the gas one does, so there's spark and flame. I'm not an expert in these but with my limited knowledge it's clear that there is power coming to it and it works, partially at least. What are your thoughts?

Based on that info, I think it's the control board having either a fried or a fuse blew. I seen that happen when there's a surge or moisture gets in. If gas still lights but there's no electric... maybe start by checking the thermal fuse or control panel wiring. If nothing works, call in a repair man.

I'd start by pulling the back panel and checking for any scorch marks or burnt connectors and if you notice that only part of it works but there's power, something definitely gave out internally and you might need a multimeter to check continuity on the fuse or board.

Turns out it's one of the legs which is why half of the stove is working and the other half is dead. Do I need to replace the whole things or not? How much would this cost me and is it worth fixing it?

If it's just one leg out, you probably don't need to replace the whole unit. It could be a breaker or terminal issue. A licensed tech can usually sort it out for a few hundred bucks tops, way cheaper than a full replacement.
