Bosch SHE65T55UC/02 dishwasher smelling like a dumpster!

I'm officially on a mission to save my mom's kitchen from her Bosch SHE65T55UC/02 dishwasher. This thing is a nightmare!

My mom has had this dishwasher for over a year now, but for the past few weeks, it smells like rotten garbage.
Her pre rinsed plastic dishes get actual black mold on them after literally one day of sitting in the washer. Even with just a few plates in there, the stench is unbearable.
We've tried everything, like cleaning with vinegar and DW cleaners. they work for maybe two days, then the funk comes roaring back.

The techs came out in the first year and just messed with the temperature. My cousin said to stop rinsing and run it daily, but that's a bust too.
The plumbing got the old double sink T configuration, and the P trap is downstairs (in the basement ceiling). The dishwasher hose is looped up to mid sink level.
My mom’s old dishwasher had the exact same plumbing setup and never had this problem.

I'm seriously worried about the mold we're unknowingly consuming, and it's ruining her plasticware.
Has anyone with a Bosch or similar setup had this problem? What in the world is causing this?

That’s not normal for a Bosch and odds are water is sitting somewhere it shouldn’t. I’d check the drain hose and pump for standing water or buildup, and make sure the hose has a proper high loop or air gap. I remember having a similar situation once

@Rob jr_ does the dishwasher drain hose have a proper high loop or air gap ? cos even a small backflow can cause constant dampness and smells. Daily use with no rinse isn’t enough if water isn’t fully draining or sitting in hidden nooks.

I’m with @appd3v and @APman on this one. That kind of smell usually means stagnant water somewhere, so do double-check the drain path and also pull and clean the filter and sump area.
