Burner issue on my GE Profile

I've got a GE Profile induction range (about 8 years old, model PHS930YPFS) that's been great. Well, until recently. I noticed the back-right burner is heating way slower than usual, and the front-right one seems to spike in temperature randomly.

This started after a big weekend cook-a-thon for my kid's birthday, so I'm wondering if I overworked it. Could this be a sensor issue or something with the power distribution? Thanks!
 
Seems like the sensor is starting to fail or there is an issue with the burner control board. If you can, check for error codes in the diagnostics menu, otherwise a service call might be the fastest way to confirm
 
The induction coil below could be going bad. They can get weak spots or lose magnetic power as they age.
 
It could be a faulty sensor or a loose connection on the control board. Induction ranges rely heavily on accurate feedback from the sensors, so if one is acting up, the burner can under or overheat. Definitely check the wiring and connections first; if those look good, the sensor or the board might need replacing

When one burner starts lagging while another spikes on a GE Profile, it often indicates a shared control board issue rather than an individual coil problem. The long cook session could have caused thermal stress on the board or its cooling fan. It's worth checking if that fan is running properly. Beyond running the diagnostics already suggested, have you had a chance to pull the back panel for a visual inspection?
 
Overworking it during a party won't usually break an induction burner unless it was already on its way out. The spiking front burner screams sensor or main control relay. The slow rear one could be a weak power module. GE's parts aren't cheap, so I'd confirm with a multimeter before swapping anything.
