I have a two door french door Fridgidaire fridge freezer. It is plugged in to a standard outlet directly behind it. But on that same circuit is one GFCI outlet above the countertop next to it.

Several years ago the GFCI started tripping for no reason. I first replaced the outlet behind the fridge. That solved it for a time. So then I replaced the GFCI outlet to no avail. Discovered the fridge had a frozen over defrost drain port. Thawed that out and it solved the problem.

5 - 6 years later and it has started again. But the difference this time the defrost drain port isn't frozen over.

I've seen suggestions of trying to hear if the compressor turns on right before it trips. But it trips at completely random times.

Any suggestions short of calling an expensive repair technician would be greatly appreciated.
