is microwave start up noise delay normal?

Microwave turns on, but the sound/power takes a few seconds to ramp up to full volume. Food heats fine after that.
Is this slow start up norml, or a sign of my microwave is failing part

The hard disconnect is pressure trapped in the line and you'd need to release it before trying to unscrew anything
