Need a brighter microwave bulb

The standard 20 W screw-in is gotten so dim I can barely tell if something’s boiling over or just quietly simmering, so, I’d love to switch it out for a brighter LED equivalent (that's possible right?), but finding something that fits the housing and can handle the heat and electrical quirks of a microwave has been hellish. A lot of LED bulbs I’ve found either don’t list compatibility, are too long to fit behind the protective cover, or just have sketchy reviews about flickering and early burnout
Just need advice and some help on these, once I get some good answers I'll be okay

Yes, you can swap in an LED, but you need one made for microwaves, typically an E17 base, compact enough to fit under the cover, and rated for heat

@danny_boy Stick with the same base and size, and go for a non dimmable one from a good brand. If you tell me the bulb base and how much space you’ve got behind that cover, I can point you to a few that fit well
