Oven committed suicide after self clean

So I thought I was being responsible and finally ran the self clean cycle on my oven. Big mistake, now the thing is completely dead, no display, no beeps, won't even pretend to turn on. I checked that the breaker is fine, outlet too, it's just sitting there like a very expensive paperweight.
Did some inquiry after my bad luck and started discovering self clean mode basically cooks ovens to death, and I'm guessing it nuked a thermal fuse or maybe the control board. Just not sure if this is a $20 part swap or the kind of repair where you start googling new ovens instead. Can this be fixed cheap?

That's common with self-clean cycles, and it's almost always something to do with the thermal fuse or the control board.
If it's just a blown thermal fuse, it's a quick and easy swap.
But if the fuse is fine and it's an issue with the control board, that's a more expensive fix.
New boards can run from $150 to $300, and it's a more involved repair.
You can start diagnosing it yourself to get an idea and if you're comfortable using a multimeter.
But either way, I think you have a good shot at fixing this for less than a new oven.

Check near the control board or wires to see if there's a little button-shaped thermal fuse. If it looks broken or doesn't show continuity with a multimeter, it's likely the issue.
