Washer won’t stop draining after cycle ends

Hey everyone,
After I finish a normal wash cycle, this machine doesn’t stop draining even when I've ensured that the tub is empty like it should be, but the drain pump just keeps running like it’s on overtime, humming away long after the cycle ends, what is the problem ?

Your drain pump is likely stuck in a continuous run state because the pressure switch isn't resetting, or the air trap or hose leading to it is clogged.
Could you tell us the specific brand and model of your washing machine so we can help diagnose it properly and offer an appropriate advice?

Had the same issue on my Whirlpool. Ended up being a faulty water level sensor. What brand and model are you using? Some have known issues with that part.

@Pboycents check the water level system first! The washer thinks it's still full of water (or even flooding) because the pressure sensor is faulty, or the tiny tube connecting the sensor to the tub is clogged/kinked. The pump is running non-stop as a safety measure

Does unplugging the machine for a few minutes stop the pump, or does it start right back up when you plug it in? What brand/model are we dealing with too?
