My Whirlpool washer has been making a loud thump during spin cycles. What’s your recommended first steps for narrowing down the cause before replacing parts?
I usually start simple and cheap. Check for an unbalanced load and worn suspension or shock absorbers first, those cause a lot of spin-cycle thumps before anything else fails.
