My aunt wants me to help her with her gas dryer. It's got this weird thing going on with the igniter.
Sometimes it's barely there for like two seconds, just a faint glow. Other times, it'll hang in there for maybe seven seconds and get pretty hot, and sometimes it even flickers the burner to life for a sec.
But then, bam, power cuts out and the flame goes poof if it even started.
I've checked, and I think the dryer was clogged, and it blew the high limit.
I swapped that out, but still no heat. Then I changed the control fuse and the thermistors, checked all the thermal fuses – they're good. Realized the igniter was kaput and replaced that. Flame sensor seems to be doing its job too. does anyone know which other part to check? TIA for the advice and insights
